Steve Cohen, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee's 9th District, shared several statements via tweets in early April 2025. Cohen, who has been in office since 2007 and previously served in the Tennessee Senate, addressed various topics including a press release, art in the White House, and comments on the war in Afghanistan.

On April 13, 2025, he expressed his views on art displayed in the White House, questioning a recent decision: "He really put this crappy painting or photo in White House and moved Obama https://t.co/SU8Ad1ERv3".

On April 14, 2025, Cohen commented on the military withdrawal from Afghanistan, attributing responsibility to a former administration: "Afghanistan was Trump’s treaty to withdraw. It was Trump’s war and he lost Afghanistan and lost those troops at the airport because it was Trump’s war."

Steve Cohen has represented Tennessee’s 9th District in the U.S. Congress since 2007, succeeding Harold Ford Jr. Born in 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee, Cohen graduated from Vanderbilt University and earned a law degree from the University of Memphis.
