Associate Head Coach Abby Jump and Assistant Coach Kabrina Merriweather have both found themselves among the list of coaches named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's Thirty Under 30 List.

Jump, who has been named to the list for the sixth consecutive year, is in her second season with Memphis. Jump has helped to turn the program around after the Tigers recorded their highest seed in the American Athletic Conference Championship ever and made it to the WNIT for the first time since the 2015-16 season.

"It's no secret Abby has been a star since she entered our profession," said head coach Katrina Merriweather. "Her preparation, work ethic, and competitive nature has allowed her to develop the reputation as one of the best recruiters and development coaches in the country. She has proven there is no part of her job she can't do with excellence."

Jump, who was first named to the list in 2018 while working as an assistant coach at Moorhead State, has been the only coach to be named to the list for the past six seasons.

Merriweather, who is in her first season at Memphis after spending two seasons at New Mexico. In her first year with the Tigers, Merriweather, who works primarily with the team's post players, saw freshman center Destiny Thomas named to the AAC's All-Freshman Team while seeing the team ranking in the top-10 in Division I in offensive rebounds per game and rebounds per game.

"This honor is special as Brina is only in her second year of coaching. As an up-and-comer, she has shown her ability to recruit, develop players, scout, and bring joy to our environment. She is a sponge and has an incredibly bright future in our profession," said Katrina Merriweather.

The WBCA's Thirty Under 30 program was established to honor 30 of the up-and-coming women's basketball coaches aged 30 and under. Each nominee has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and an impact on those around them, professional manners and attitude as well as a professional association involvement.
