LOC Tennis opened their season this past weekend on the road at The Tuskegee Homecoming Cluster.

After 8 matches the men's team is 1-7 overall while the women's team is now 2-6. Both teams got their wins over conference rival Lane College. The Magicians suffered losses to Tuskegee, Albany State, and Fort Valley State. "These are a few of the best teams in the entire conference so it was good for us to get out here and see if we could compete with them", said Magicians head coach Garry Coleman.

On the Men's side key returners Marcus Frierson and Micheal Zhou stood out and gave the Magicians a variety of wow moments throughout the weekend. The women's team were able to pick up consecutive wins versus Lane College and are now on a two match win streak and will look to keep their streak going. "They played well as a collective and hopefully we can build on this as the season continues", said Coleman.
