Christian Brothers University Klink Named Gulf South Conference Defender of the Week

Christian Brothers University men's soccer player Max Klink has been named Gulf South Conference Defender of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Klink helped lead the Bucs to a 2-0 week, recording a pair of shutouts on the road. In the 2-0 win at No. 25 Maryville Klink made four saves, facing 12 shots.

The Amsterdam native followed that up with two saves, while facing 11 shots, in a 1-0 victory at McKendree. With Klink in the lineup, the Bucs have not allowed a goal in over 180 minutes.

Klink is the first CBU men's soccer player to be named GSC Defender of the Week since Andrew Forrest earned the honor (9.26.17).
