MFD responded to a house fire on 3533 Trezevant Street. E27 arrived on the scene to find smoke showing. Firefighters made an aggressive attack on the blaze and marked it under control within 15 minutes. According to the homeowner, a fire pit was left unattended overnight. No injuries. All occupants evacuated on their own. The Memphis Fire Department would like to remind everyone- Do not place your fire pit on a wooden deck and never leave it unattended. Even if your fire pit is small, flames can spread quickly. Have a hose or fire extinguisher nearby.
