Steve Cohen, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee's 9th district, has expressed his views on various political issues through a series of tweets. Cohen, who has been in Congress since 2007 and previously served in the Tennessee Senate, shared his thoughts on members of former President Trump's cabinet, a controversial FBI pick, and proposed reforms to the presidential pardon power.

On December 2, 2024, Cohen commented on the composition of former President Trump's cabinet. He stated: "Meshuggeneh As others in Trumps’the least of them cabinet. They say it’s diversified. Sure a couple of them get a passing grade but most are cuckoos nest candidates".

Later that day, he highlighted an article from Mother Jones regarding Kash Patel, a figure associated with Trump's administration. He noted: "How Kash Patel, Trump’s FBI Pick, Embraced the Unhinged QAnon Movement – Mother Jones. FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION".

Cohen also addressed concerns about presidential pardons related to Hunter Biden on December 2, 2024. He urged support for his long-standing effort to amend the Constitution to reform pardon powers by stating: "Anyone who is troubled by the Hunter Biden #pardon should support my constitutional amendment to reform the pardon power—an effort I've led since 2017. It bans pardons for a POTUS's family, staff, or crimes committed for their benefit."
