Steve Cohen, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee's 9th district since 2007, has recently shared his views on various pressing issues through social media. His statements reflect concerns about national security and political integrity as well as broader societal issues.

On November 1, 2024, Cohen emphasized the need for increased security measures at the Capitol in anticipation of potential unrest surrounding upcoming elections. He stated, "We shouldn’t be waiting to physically secure the Capitol and this election against possible violence—they should start erecting fences, barricades & other safety measures NOW, before Congress returns." He expressed concern over former President Trump's anticipated refusal to accept election results if he loses.

Later that day, Cohen addressed inquiries made to FBI Director Wray regarding materials related to Jeffrey Epstein's case. On November 1, 2024, he tweeted, "I asked FBI Director Wray MONTHS ago if they seized any materials from #Epstein that could implicate other prominent individuals in sexual abuse—materials like what #MichaelWolff is now alleging."

On November 3, 2024, Cohen used a metaphorical reminder about daylight saving time to encourage voters not to regress in societal progress. He urged citizens by tweeting: "Remember, set your clocks back an hour today but on Tuesday, please don’t set our country back 100 years!"
