U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn and Jacky Rosen have introduced the "No Immigration Benefits for Hamas Terrorists Act" in an effort to prevent individuals associated with Hamas from entering the United States. This legislative move comes in response to recent violent actions by Hamas, including the murder and release of hostages.

Senator Blackburn expressed concern over past instances where individuals on the terrorist watchlist were allowed into the country. She stated, "The Biden-Harris administration released nearly 100 individuals on the terrorist watchlist into our country over the last four years, and we need to make certain anyone tied to Hamas is not allowed to enter or remain in the U.S." Blackburn emphasized that this bipartisan bill aims to block any migrant linked to Hamas's attack on October 7 from entering or receiving immigration benefits.

Senator Rosen echoed these sentiments, highlighting her commitment to national security. "No one who participated in Hamas’s brutal October 7 terrorist attack should be allowed to enter the United States," she said. Rosen supports this bipartisan legislation as a means of preventing Hamas terrorists from accessing immigration benefits.

The proposed act seeks to bar entry and deny immigration benefits to any migrant involved in or supporting the attacks carried out by Hamas against Israel on October 7, 2023.
