Steve Cohen, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee's 9th district since 2007, recently shared his thoughts on social media regarding various political figures and historical comparisons. Cohen has a long history in politics, having served in the Tennessee Senate before his current role in Congress.

On February 20, 2025, Cohen expressed criticism of an unnamed individual by stating: "He is so over his head. He only listens to KGB agents who know how to flatter him and maybe know something’s he doesn’t want known."

Later that day, he posted another tweet saying simply: "It is what it has been." The context of this statement was not further elaborated upon.

In another post on the same date, Cohen addressed claims about presidential hardships with a historical perspective: "Taking more wounds than any president ever? Lincoln, JFK, McKinley, Garfield I don’t think so and I don’t think you suffered as much as Ike did without bone spurs or Grant or Andrew Jackson or Washington or….. I could keep going!"
