WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) released a video today commemorating the 23rd anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
“Today, we all pause, and we remember the nearly 3,000 lives that were lost on September 11, 2001. I think most of us remember where we were as we began to look at these images that were coming across our TV screens and not even believing what we were seeing. As the day wore on, we realized that there were Tennesseans that lost their lives in that number – Tennesseans that were at the Pentagon, the North Tower, the South Tower. Families today still grieve those losses, and we grieve with them. That is why it is so important that today we commit ourselves to making certain that we do what is necessary to protect our nation and that we each rediscover that love of country and that value of sacrifice for protecting this nation and our citizens,” said Senator Blackburn.
