The LOC men's basketball team hosted their final home game of the 2022-2023 season  last night in a instant classic vs. Central State University.

The Magicians were without senior point guard Andrew Anderson who was sidelined due to Injury. Although Central State is at the bottom of the SIAC standings, they gave Bonzi Wells and his ball club all they can handle.

"Those guys played really well last night, there is no such thing as a off night in the conference", said Coach Wells.

At halftime the Magicians faced a four point deficit, which is the same amount of points they trailed by with 14.4 seconds. Sophomore forward Micah Evans nailed a 22 footer with 5 seconds to draw the Magicians within one point (73-72). With 3.9 seconds remaining in the ball game CSU would find themselves at the free throw line where they would make 1 of 2, leaving the door open for the Magicians. Following the missed free throw Evans would take the ball coast to coast and hit a game-winning three pointer just as time expired.

Senior guard Gjerard Wilson led all scorers with 18 points on 7-14 shooting while Evans and sophomore forward Micah Evans chipped in with 13 points each.
