Rhodes Men's basketball secured a 4-0 weekend for the Lynx when they defeated Millsaps College 77-67. The win is their 2nd in a row and their 3rd SAA win of the season.

As it has all season, the Lynx defense came to play against the Majors. The Lynx held the Majors to 32.3% shooting in the 1st half. They had 3 blocks, forced 5 turnovers (3 steals), and won the rebounding battle 22-16. Koki Wiley continued his hot streak and finished the half with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. Freshman Phil Dotson got the start in place of two-time SAA POW, Jalen Essick, and filled the role beautifully. He finished the half with 8 points (2-3 from three). Plus-minus guru Arness Georgetown II added 6 points and 6 rebounds in the half. At half, the Lynx held a 29-28 lead.

The 2nd half was much more of an offensive showcase from the Lynx and Majors. Both teams shot above 50% in the half (56.5% for the Lynx). Wiley led the way for the Lynx and finished the game with 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. He also helped seal the game from the FT line in the final minutes. Dotson continued to be the perfect option in place of Essick and finished with 17 points (3-5 from three). Zavien Williams made his presence known in a huge way this half. With 4 min to go and the game tightly contested, Williams finished an alley-oop after a beautiful out-of-bounds play call from Coach Zo. Williams also added 2 steals and 2 blocks in the half. He finished the game with 17 points and 4 rebounds. Georgetown II continued to be in the right places at all the right times and came up with a few big time rebounds for the Lynx down the stretch. He finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 steal. Jefferson Walker did a little of everything for the Lynx in this one and finished with 7 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds. The Lynx won the rebounding battle 26-28, which led to 12 important second chance points.

After 10 ties and 8 lead changes, the Lynx prevailed 77-67. They'll be back in action Friday at 8pm at home.
