The Memphis Tiger women's basketball team will round out their non-conference play this Wednesday afternoon when they take on Xavier University.

Memphis (7-5) is coming off their second consecutive come from behind victory after stringing together a 30-point swing against Saint Louis that was led by Madison Griggs 19 points. Griggs would sink four of her game-high five three-pointers in the fourth quarter as the Tigers captured an 83-71 win.

Along with Griggs, Jamirah Shutes and Emani Jefferson reached double figures in scoring while Hannah Riddick and Jada Wrightboth grabbed 10 rebounds.

As a team, Memphis has held their opponents to under 27% from the three-point range while forcing more than 16 turnovers per game.

Shutes and Griggs have been the spark for Memphis' offense this season, pouring in more than 38 of the team's 75 points per game.

Xavier (7-4) is coming off an offensive struggle against Eastern Michigan. The Musketeers would hold EMU to just three points in the third quarter but would not be able to stop the Eagles offense and suffered the 51-44 loss.

Mackayla Scarlett and Taylor Smith lead Xavier on the offensive end with 12.5 and 11.9 points, respectively while Courtney Prenger has pulled down a team-best 66 rebounds.

The Tigers and Musketeers met last year in the beginning of the season where Memphis came away with the 84-64 win and marked Katrina Merriweather's first win at the helm of the Tigers. Shutes scored a team-high 15 points while Alana Davis and Emani Jefferson chipped in 13 points, each.

Wednesday's game is scheduled for a 12 p.m. CT tip-off. Coverage of the game can be watched on FloHoops (subscription required) and on 98.9 THE ROAR OF MEMPHIS with Tyler Springs on the call.
