Christian Brothers University men's soccer player Brian Torre has been named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Men's Scholar All-American Team.
Torre was named Second Team Scholar All-American after achieving a 3.85 cumulative grade point average as an MBA student. The Turin, Italy native was also named Second Team All-South region by the USC.
Torre helped the Bucs earn the third-lowest goals against average in the league (.90). Torre, who started in all but one contest, also led the team with four assists, while playing over 1500 minutes.
Torre is the second CBU men's soccer player in the last two seasons to be named Scholar All-American, as Chandler O'Dwyer also earned the honor last season.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be nominated by their head coach and have at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA, start more than 50-percent of the team's games and be an elite player supported by playing honors and statistics.
