Lemoyne-Owen College Lady Magicians Go Head To Head With Division 1 Southeast Missouri State University

The LOC women's basketball team went head to head with Division 1 Southeast Missouri State University this past weekend, losing 45-76. 

The Lady Magicians trailed 16-22 after the first 10 minutes of play. "I think that first quarter showed our women how good we can be when we're all on the same page, it was good for our confidence", said LOC head coach Antony Partee.

In the second quarter, the Lady Magicians struggled to get baskets and gave up 27 second quarter points. The Lady Redhawks used an 18-2 run to take a 42-20 lead into half time.

In the second half the Lady Redhawks outscored the Lady Magicians 27-23 and would go on to win the exhibition match. Senior guard Jess Myers led team in scoring with 15 points while junior guard Sierra Lynch added 12 points.
