Christian Brothers University women's soccer player Cheyenne Smith has been named Second Team All-South Region by the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA), as released on Tuesday.
The South Region consists of teams from the Gulf South and Sunshine State Conferences.
Smith finished the regular season second in the GSC, and fourth in NCAA Division II, with 17 goals. Her 1.21 goals per game lead the league and rank third in NCAA Division II. The Memphis native, who was also named First Team All-GSC, finished the regular season with the league lead in shots per game (3.93) and shots on goal per game (2.71).
Smith scored in all but three matches this season, and is also tied for second in the league with 13 tallies in conference contests. The 17 goals, for Smith, are tied for eighth-most in CBU single-season history.
The D2CCA Team is selected by the South Region's members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
