Christian Brothers University men's soccer player Lucho Galizzi has been named Second Team All-South Region by the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA), as released on Tuesday.
The South Region consists of teams from the Gulf South and Sunshine State Conferences.
Galizzi, who was also named Second Team All-GSC, led the Bucs, and was tied for third in the GSC, with eight total goals. Galizzi also finished in the top-five in shots (2.50) per game and shots on goal (1.21) per game.
The Puerto Madryn, Argentina native scored in four league contests, including the game-winners against Auburn Montgomery and Mississippi College (GSC Tournament). Galizzi earned his first GSC Player of the Week honor after opening the season with three goals in two matches. .
The D2CCA Team is selected by the South Region's members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
