Christian Brothers University Wistokat Named Gulf South Conference Runner of the Week

Christian Brothers University cross country runner Johanna Wistokat has been named Gulf South Conference Runner of the Week, as announced by the league on Wednesday, Oct. 26. This marks the fourth honor of the season for Wistokat, who has now been named Runner of the Week after all four of the events that she has competed in.

The Wennigsen, Germany native is the first CBU cross country athlete to earn four Runner of the Week honors, in a single season, in recorded history. The honor for Wistokat is the fifth of her career.

Wistokat won the UAH Invite, besting a field of nearly 400 finishers, crossing the line with a CBU 5K record time of 17:15.70. She has not been defeated by an NCAA Division II runner at any meet this season.

CBU is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Gulf South Conference Championships. The race is set to begin at 8:30 AM CT.
