Lemoyne-Owen College Women’s Volleyball Struggle In Opening Weekend

The LeMoyne-Owen College women's volleyball team finished 0-4, this weekend in the Reddie Tiger Invitational at Henderson State University.

The Lady Magicians went head to head with Cameron University, Ouachita Baptist, Henderson State and Kentucky Wesleyan.

The team was defeated 3-0 in each match and was out scored 300-141 over the course of the weekend. Although the team struggled this past weekend they are still very optimistic. "We knew coming into the weekend that these teams would be very good and we were up to the challenge, regardless of the score I'm very pleased with our effort", said head coach Reginald Morris.

The team struggled offensively throughout the weekend but seen some bright spots day 2 of the invite.They scored 17 and 20 points in back to back sets vs Kentucky Wesleyan.

The Lady Magicians return to action September 6th in Paragould, Arkansas where they will take on Crowley Ridge College.
