Memphis Standard

About 17.6 percent of the 4,524 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Memphis in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Memphis conferred 570 bachelor's degrees and 173 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 349 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 316 bachelor's degrees in "other" multi-/interdisciplinary studies and 214 bachelor's degrees in kinesiology and exercise science.

The university enrolled 21,458 students for 2017-18, including 17,233 in undergraduate programs and 4,225 in graduate programs.
