Graduates earn 247 degrees from Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences

About 93.5 percent of the 247 degrees and certificates handed out by Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Memphis conferred 223 bachelor's degrees and 8 associate's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 167 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 20 bachelor's degrees in radiologic technology/science - radiographer and 16 bachelor's degrees in general biomedical sciences.

The college enrolled 1,064 students for 2017-18, including 1,056 in undergraduate programs and 8 in graduate programs.
