Cost of college went up for all students at Rhodes College

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at Rhodes College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Tennessee students paid $47,890 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,386 more than the $46,504 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 488 students received grants or scholarships totaling $15.3 million and 220 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.5 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,036), 1,837 students used grants or scholarships totaling $53 million, and 665 students took out $4.2 million in federal student loans.
