59 percent of applicants to Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences were admitted for fall 2018

At Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences, 56 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 89 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Memphis enrolled 1,064 students in fall 2018, including 1,056 in undergraduate and eight in graduate programs, data shows. 17.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

83 percent of undergraduates are residents of Tennessee, and 17 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (50 percent) and Black or African American (43 percent).

The school admitted 59 percent of the 462 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 38 percent enrolled.
