U.S. Congressman Steve Cohen, representing Tennessee’s 9th district, shares his views and experiences through a series of tweets. Cohen, serving in Congress since 2007 and previously as a Tennessee State Senator, addresses various national matters in his posts.

In a tweet dated April 1, 2025, Cohen expressed his dislike towards Tesla, X, and Elon Musk, stating, “I’ll still hate Tesla and X and Elon”.

On April 2, 2025, Cohen tweeted about former President Donald Trump’s executive orders, which he claims are targeted at specific law firms. Cohen mentions that “Trump is lashing out with new executive orders targeted specifically at law firms like Jenner&Block and WilmerHale. Why? Because they had the guts to hold him accountable. Trump can’t understand and doesn’t care about the Constitution, checks & balances, none of it. He wants”.

Later that same day, Cohen addressed the Trump administration’s handling of air quality funds and the Clean Air Act. He claims that the administration is “letting companies apply for secret exemptions from the Clean Air Act—no names, no accountability.” Cohen further stated that he has contacted the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) demanding the list of those from Tennessee’s 9th district involved.
