Steve Cohen, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Tennessee’s 9th District, shared his thoughts on social media recently. Cohen, who has served since 2007, has a background in law and a long history of public service. His posts cover a range of topics, including economic concerns, sports inclusivity, and trade policies.

In a post dated April 3, 2025, Cohen referenced a common inquiry from the administration of former President Donald Trump. “As 45 regularly asked ,’How’s your 401k doing.?” he said, making a nod to economic concerns often highlighted by the former president.

On April 6, 2025, Cohen questioned statements made about transgender athletes in college sports, raising skepticism over claims of widespread transgender participation. He noted, “I believe NCAA reported there were eight trans athletes in college sports. What the heck is he talking about? Entire teams turning trans? Not Houston, but Alabama, we have a problem.”

Later on the same day, Cohen criticized a trade war he attributed to former President Trump. In his view, the conflict had unwarranted effects beyond the former President’s interests. Cohen declared, “Dumbest trade war in history. But Trump doesn’t care doesn’t affect him. He’s got bitcoin and getting all of the people all over the world that wanna kiss his can to buy the bitcoin. Con job grifter.”
