Steve Cohen, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 9th district, has been active on social media with several notable posts. Known for his long-standing service since 2007, Cohen has recently shared his thoughts and concerns through a series of tweets.

On February 7, 2025, Cohen expressed concern over ideologies reminiscent of apartheid South Africa. He referenced statements such as “You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity.” and “Normalize Indian hate.”, questioning whether these sentiments are shaped by similar ideologies.

Later that day, Cohen joined forces with Representative Sean Casten and over 150 House Democrats to demand answers from the Treasury Secretary regarding Elon Musk’s access to sensitive data. In his tweet at 15:38 UTC, he stated, “The richest man in the world doesn’t deserve unchecked access to your Social Security and Medicare.”

In another post on February 7 at 20:01 UTC, Cohen commented on the political landscape involving Donald Trump and Elon Musk. He tweeted that “Donald Trump has turned over the presidency to Elon Musk.” and noted that every House Republican seems to be accepting of this situation.
