Steve Cohen, a U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 9th district since 2007, has been vocal on various issues through social media. His recent tweets reflect his perspectives on international and political matters.

On November 24, 2024, Cohen emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine in its ongoing conflict. He stated, “It’s seven minutes. That’s a lot for us on social media, but it’s valuable to listen. I really didn’t know @SenatorRounds but he expresses my thoughts exactly. Ukraine is fighting for the world and giving blood and treasure and we should not stop supporting them.#SlavaUkraine”.

In another tweet from the same day, Cohen acknowledged the influence of an unnamed powerful figure while expressing disapproval of their power. He noted a decision made by this individual as positive, saying “Like it or not (and I don’t) he is one of the most powerful people in the world. And for whatever reason he (if he did) pull the plug, good decision!”.

Later that day, Cohen expressed frustration over attempts to pass a resolution regarding Russia’s actions being thwarted by governmental bodies. He tweeted “Have tried to pass a Russia genocide resolution for several years, but was stymied by the administration and the house committee. Unfortunate for it is a fact and crime”.
