Steve Cohen, U.S. Congressman representing Tennessee’s 9th district since 2007, recently posted a series of statements on his official Twitter account addressing national politics and local initiatives.

Cohen has represented Tennessee’s 9th District in Congress since succeeding Harold Ford Jr. in 2007 and previously served two decades in the Tennessee Senate. Born in Memphis in 1949 and residing there today at age 73, Cohen holds degrees from Vanderbilt University (BA) and the University of Memphis (JD).
