U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee has outlined her accomplishments for the past year and shared her goals for the 119th Congress. Despite what she describes as “gridlock in Congress,” Blackburn expressed satisfaction with the progress made on behalf of Tennesseans.

“Despite the gridlock in Congress, I’m pleased we were able to accomplish several important priorities for Tennesseans over the last year,” stated Senator Blackburn. She added, “With Republicans at the helm of the 119th Congress and President Trump back in the White House, I’m confident we’ll be able to deliver meaningful relief for American families.”

Blackburn highlighted her commitment to making permanent the tax cuts from 2017, securing borders, combating human trafficking, supporting veterans, and protecting women in sports.

In service to her constituents, Blackburn’s office completed over 9,000 casework issues and assisted more than 100 individuals and groups in Israel. Her outreach included nearly 40,000 answered calls and over 118,000 mail requests. She also reached over 206,000 Tennesseans through tele-town halls across different regions of Tennessee.

Legislatively, Blackburn secured significant wins in various acts during 2024. The Fiscal Year 2025 National Defense Authorization Act included projects that enhance technology development and cybersecurity efforts within Tennessee. In aviation, she advocated for robust funding for all eligible Tennessee airports under the Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization Act while prohibiting FAA funding or procurement from certain foreign drone companies.

Additionally, through the Thomas R. Carper Water Resources Development Act, she ensured improvements like dredging Pidgeon Harbor in Memphis and strengthening flood risk management infrastructure. Her REPORT Act was signed into law to require Big Tech companies to report crimes against children involving sex trafficking.

Blackburn co-sponsored several bills that became law this year including:

– Women’s Suffrage National Monument Location Act
– Victims’ VOICES Act
– Project Safe Childhood Act
– Veteran Improvement Commercial Driver License Act
– SIREN Reauthorization Act
– Alzheimer’s Accountability and Investment Act
– NAPA Reauthorization Act

She also supported acts awarding Congressional Gold Medals such as those honoring Vietnam War Dustoff Crews and diplomats who saved Jews during WWII.
