U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn has called on FBI Director Kash Patel and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to release comprehensive records related to Jeffrey Epstein. In a letter, she requested the full flight logs from Epstein’s private jet and helicopter, records in Ghislaine Maxwell’s possession including her “little black book,” and video surveillance footage from Epstein’s Palm Beach residence.
During his confirmation hearing, Director Patel committed to collaborating with Blackburn to provide transparency regarding these files. Blackburn also reached out to IRS Acting Commissioner Douglas O’Donnell for information on Epstein’s associates and business dealings.
“Congratulations on your recent confirmation as the 9th Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” Blackburn stated. “I have no doubt that you will bring much-needed transparency to the FBI as you return the Bureau to its core mission of investigating crimes and keeping our nation safe.”
She emphasized the need for full disclosure about Epstein’s network: “The American people deserve to know exactly who was affiliated with this network.”
Blackburn noted that while some redacted portions of Epstein’s flight logs and Maxwell’s book have been released through lawsuits, complete transparency is necessary. She criticized former FBI Director Wray for not providing follow-up information after indicating he would explore releasing more details.
“Your predecessor, Director Wray, was unwilling to provide this crucially important transparency,” Blackburn wrote. She urged Patel to fulfill his commitment to transparency by releasing all pertinent records.
