Memphis track and field to compete at LSU Alumni Gold on April 25

Memphis track and field will travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for the regular season finale at the LSU Alumni Gold meet on Saturday, April 25.

The event will be hosted by Louisiana State University at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium. The competition is scheduled as a one-day meet, with live results and the event schedule available online.

The day’s events will begin with the hammer throw at 10:00 a.m., starting with the women’s division. Track events are set to start at 12:30 p.m., beginning with the women’s 4×400 relay.

At their previous outing in the Crimson Tide Invitational, Memphis freshmen won their respective events. Extebeste achieved a personal-best time of 5:56.47 in the 2,000-meter steeplechase, while Waltke threw a career-best distance of 69.94 meters in javelin.

In addition to these performances, Memphis throwers Mullerova and Cruickshank finished second and third in javelin with throws of 49.61 meters and 48.93 meters respectively. In triple jump competition, Mdlela secured second place with a mark of 14.93 meters followed closely by Smith in third place at 14.90 meters.
